For Educators

Wildlife education you can bring into the classroom

Crystal's videos and books are made for children aged 2 to 10, and for the teachers and parents who guide them. They are calm, factual and short enough to fit into a lesson.

Ages and fit

The videos and How to Save a Dog are both made for children aged 2 to 10, which makes them a good fit for early years and the first years of primary school, read aloud or watched together.

Using the videos

  • Open a lesson with a short animal-fact video and ask what surprised the class.
  • Follow an eco-craft video as a hands-on activity with recycled materials.
  • Close with one small action the class can take this week.

Using How to Save a Dog

  • Read it aloud and pause where Happy is lost: how might he feel?
  • Talk through what a dog needs to be safe and cared for.
  • Ask the class what they could do to help an animal near them.
