Crystal Schainuck, known to children as Wildlife Crystal

A wildlife specialist and dog psychologist who turns real animal care into calm, structured lessons for children, and for the adults learning alongside them.

Crystal has spent more than 15 years in storytelling, animal rescue and environmental education. On YouTube she creates and presents the Wildlife Crystal series, and on paper she writes the “How to Save A…” books, both built on the same idea: children learn to care for animals by understanding them first.

She also founded Crystal Clear Beaches, a grassroots initiative for ocean clean-ups and environmental outreach.

What Crystal does

  • The Wildlife Crystal series on YouTube

    Crystal creates and presents the channel: animal facts, eco crafts and life at the sanctuary, explained for young viewers.

  • The “How to Save A…” books

    A picture-book series that pairs a rescue adventure with empathy and practical care. The current title is How to Save a Dog.

  • The sanctuary

    Crystal’s home is a sanctuary, with her chickens and space for animals. The daily care there is where much of her teaching starts.

  • Crystal Clear Beaches

    A grassroots initiative she founded for ocean clean-ups and environmental outreach.

Mission

To raise awareness of animal welfare, environmental care and the bond between people and animals, and to encourage everyone to take part in protecting animals and their habitats through everyday, eco-conscious choices.

Vision

Children who feel able to make a positive difference, a wider respect for the value of every animal, and a world where people and wildlife live well together.
